Caroline Armington 1

Caroline Armington (1875-1939) and her husband Frank Armington (1876-1941) were responsible for an impressive output of etchings, lithographs and paintings. They lived and worked in Paris for most of their professional lives and depicted scores of European, African and North American scenes and landmarks. Their work is included in many International collections including the Louvre in Paris.

Included below is a selection of Armington prints. Due to the relatively large size of some of the work it was necessary to join two scans together. As a result, there is often a faint horizontal or vertical line present in the scans. The actual prints are of course free of this defect. Please keep in mind that it is rather difficult to reproduce accurate tonal and contrast values when scanning etchings and lithographs.
